![]() Fun Fact: Finn’s character in Stranger Things dressed up as one of the Ghostbusters for Halloween. He didn’t even know he was auditioning for this movie because the audition sides were purposefully kept generic and vague to keep the film a secret. I can’t keep my eyes off him when he’s on-screen. There’s something really special about Finn Wolfhard.At one point, his character is seen reading an Avenger’s comic book since he plays Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s actually a Ghostbusters sign hanging on the inside of the building to this day! I caught a cute Easter egg involving him in the movie. When he announced that he was going to be in the film, he did it on social media, standing in front of the Hook and Ladder 8 Ghostbusters headquarters in New York City. Paul Rudd is on a roll in his film career and also just got named “Sexiest Man Alive”.She has an incredibly bright future in films. She wrote and sang the song “Haunted House” that plays during the final rolling credits! You might have also seen her in Gifted, The Handmaid’s Tale, and I, Tonya. Egon Spengler, played by the late Harold Ramis. In this movie, she gets to wear the same glass frames as her character’s grandfather, Dr. McKenna Grace is the star of this movie.The opening music and images let you know you’re in for a fun adventure.There were some scenes that actually made me tear up!.This new addition really feels like it belongs to the franchise.It’s got lots of family in it with lines that are really interesting. Bill Murray finally agreed to it saying, “The script is good. Some of the cast members were hesitant to return to their roles. ![]() Bill Murray! Yes! Ernie Hudson! Yes! Annie Potts! Yes! Sigourney Weaver! I love seeing some of the original Ghostbusters cast in this movie.Fans of the original Ghostbusters will be thrilled to learn that Dan Aykroyd is connected to this project. He actually appeared in the 1989 Ghostbusters II sequel as the kid who tells Ray that, according to his father, the Ghostbusters are “full of crap.” His father in real life is Ivan Reitman, the man who directed the first Ghostbusters movie in 1984 and its sequel Ghostbusters II in 1989! Day Aykroyd and Gil Kenan helped Reitman write the script. ![]() The sequel to this extremely popular franchise of the 80s was directed by Jason Reitman. Soon, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The grandfather passes away, leaving them a beat-up home out in the middle of nowhere. It’s about a single mom and her two kids when they arrive in a small town after being evicted from their home. The film relies heavily on nostalgia, giving a respectful nod to the past and adding a new layer to the present day. While filming, it was kept secret which GHOSTBUSTER would be the grandfather in this sequel. He played Egon Spengler, the grandfather in the story who was one of the original Ghostbusters. At the end of the movie, you see “For Harold” written on the screen. The heartfelt film has been dedicated to Harold Ramis who passed away in 2014. Then, Sony decided to make a sequel to the original two films. Who you gonna call? The Ghostbusters are back! After the disastrous Ghostbusters (2016) box office bomb, all further sequels were completely abandoned.
